YOCKENTHWAITE POT

A rarely visted cave with an enticing sequence of small pitches; an intriguing fossil rift and a final double bend to challenge the smallest cavers.

On a trip into Yockenthwaite Pot earlier this year, the brief grovel-crawl between the first two pitches had to be dug open. The mud and festering sheep remains were eventually shifted to one side, but they may not stay there!

I really enjoyed Yockenthwaite Pot except for a 15-minute 'stuck-in-a-hole' session in Fossil Passage. Of course I'll have to go back for the final nasty double bend - probably sans wetsuit top! The NFTFH description was spot on.
