LARGE POT (to Rift Pot)

Colossus Pitch has now been P-bolted and a 55m rope is still long enough to rig the pitch using the new P-bolts.

On 30 May 2010 the Misty Mountain Mud Miners connected the Temple of Doom extensions (in Rift Pot) to Ireby Fell Cavern providing an even more challenging return trip from Large Pot.

There is a bypass to the Mousehole now which is passable when the duck below is sumped. This duck fills and drains with a very long lag time. The bypass is not easy to find from the Large Pot side, but from the Rift Pot side it’s straight forward enough. Climb up 6m just before the Mousehole and then follow your nose to a 2m climb into a chamber. Drop through a hole in the floor to return to the trade route in the Eldon Extensions. The bypass involves approximately 80m of passage. A series of avens have also been scaled in this area totalling 40m in height (so far) - work done by MMMMC.
